MC2 Miller was born and raised in Novi, Michigan. He joined the U.S. Navy in
September 1986.
He went to Boot Camp at NTC Orlando, Florida. He then attended “Basic
Electricity and Electronics”
in Great Lakes following up with attending FC “A” School. He learned
everything associated to the
“Fire Control Problem” – from a technology and electronics
stand point, how to engage and remove
any type of moving target. After training was completed, he was transitioned
into a reserve status,
according to his contract. Drilling with NRC Southfield he attended AT assignments
aboard the
USS Valdez (FF 1096) and also the USS Barney (DD-149) as an Fire Control Technician.
He moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 1989 and transferred to Navy Reserve
Center Dallas into the
unit SHIPWPNSYSENGSTA, assigned to assist a team from the Naval Ship Weapon
Systems Engineering
Station- Port Hueneme, California, to test, evaluate and certify a ship's combat
systems – mainly the Terrier
Missile system. During his time there, he completed three different training
assignments, learning, testing and
repairing anything associated to the Terrier Missile system. After fulfilling
his contract in 1994, he
transitioned back into a civilian role.
After moving to Texas in 1989, as a civilian, MC2 Miller worked as an Audio/Video
Technician- responsible
for installation and maintenance of high tech AV interactive systems. He specialized
in high level video
conferencing board rooms using AMX remote systems for everything from motorized
mini-blinds to servo
controlled, audio activated video cameras emerging from a drop-tile ceiling-
all controlled from a touch panel.
MC2 Miller was employed from 1995-2001 with various video production agencies.
His forte and main
focus was on video producing and editing. During this time he has been to many
places around the world
producing commercials, documentaries, training videos, political ads, television
shows and also feature films.
From 2001 to present, MC2 Miller has been the owner of Visual Edge, a multimedia
creation company.
His clients range from simple web-based testimonial videos to enterprise level
websites. He has received
many awards with his work, and has created many lasting client relationships.
In November 2007, MC2 Miller was encouraged to return back into the Navy. He
now serves
NavInfoDet7thFleet in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed his first Annual Training
duty as a PAO for the
exercise Terminal Fury 09 aboard the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) assisting the command
staff of the Seventh Fleet.

MC2 Miller also spends community service time developing websites for non-profit
organizations,
as well as various video production projects for local churches, local schools,
and city departments.
He has been married for 18 years to his wife, Jeannie.
They reside in Roanoke, Texas with their three children Mitchell (age 16), Mara
(age 11) and Michael (age 9).
